Where is your stand?

As in the news, we all knew that Buntong state assemblyman A. Sivasubramaniam reversed his decision made earlier in the day to resign from the DAP over alleged failure of the party to fulfill its pledge to Indian voters in Perak.
Sivasubramanian has sent the resignation letter to DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng and despatched copies to Perak DAP chairman Ngeh Khoo Ham and several media organisations.
In the letter he had alleged that Ngeh had not kept his word to allocate two state executive council posts to Indian assemblymen and said that the decision was a big blow to the Indian community.
Ngeh then met up with Sivasubramaniam to discuss on the matter. “As I had expected, Sivasubramaniam had acted due to a misunderstanding and we took less than five minutes to resolve the matter,” he said.
I have a few little points to be voiced out:
1. Decision-Making Ability
An assemblyman making such a decision reflects on his maturity. I wonder if he can be objective and effective when making decisions. An Assemblyman should first find out the actual position and obtain the right information before making decisions. if not, how is the rakyat going to benefit?
2. Trust
His act clearly shows that he is an immature candidate for any political post and betrays the mandate and trust given to him by the people. He should have consulted the people, or directly, the Indians on the matter.
3. Representing Malaysians, Indians or himself?
He changed his mind after Ngeh announced that the state government will appoint an Indian assemblyman as the speaker of the Perak assembly. Now, is he really representing the Indians OR is he position-hungry? He is not generally speaking out for the Indians, does he? I never hear the Indian rakyat protesting about the issue either. His attempt to resign sets a dangerous precedence that any elected member could issue a threat to his party for his own gain and ignore his responsibilities and accountability to the voters who voted him in. If he really manage to quit, how can he serve to fight for the Indians? I would like to see how an independent rep can fight for the benefit of his people, well, sad to say, for the benefit of Indians?
4. DAP, the Multi-racial party
They claim to be a multi-racial party. But does the actions of Mr.Siva sounds multi-racial? Instead of fighting for Indians representation in the EXCO, shouldn’t he fight for the best candidate for the EXCO regardless of their race? By taking such action, Mr. Siva indirectly shows that only Indians can represent Indians in the government and the same goes to the other races. Will two Indians in the Perak exco be able to make Malaysia a better nation? Isn’t it a unified effort that is needed instead regardless of the colour? Shouldn’t he be representing Malaysians instead of Indians? Where did the Bangsa Malaysia that they shouted has gone?
If they still hold the mindset of ‘only my race can represents the interests of my race’, does their victory have any meaning or stand? They have not warmed up their seats yet, but there are already so matter internal politics arising. Can they really be trusted?
